Doncaster gets close look at designs

DESIGNERS will step down from the catwalk to meet customers at Westfield Doncaster this month.

Fashionistas will be able to get face-to-face with their favourite sartorial experts in a series of in-store workshops for the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Designers Arthur Galan and Alexandra Smart (of Ginger and Smart), as well as glossy magazine Grazia, will host the events, which are aimed at giving the public an insight into trade styling and make-up tips.

MC2 (Manningham City Square)

MC2 (Manningham City Square) is the first stage of development within Precinct 1 and involves the construction of a $38 million environmentally sustainable community facility adjacent to the existing municipal offices. The building will co-locate a number of cultural, social and community facilities and services in a central location to meet the growing needs of the Manningham community.

Every Labour Day long weekend in March Moomba Festival brings Melburnians together to share in the vibrancy and spirit of our much loved city.

This year’s festival includes an outstanding free music program headlined by established artists such as Josh Pyke, The Panics and Daryl Braithwaite. See below for Full Program.

Special opening and closing night performances including a free concert in the park on Friday 9 March with singalong moments for the whole family.

Barry Plant’s first office in Anderson Street Templestowe

Barry Plant’s first office was established on the 11th June 1979 at 39 Anderson Street, Templestowe. Barry and Karen took a drive to Templestowe around Christmas in 1978, to look at the site which was suggested to them by one of Barry’s vendors, whilst he was manger for N.R. Reid & Co. At the time there were 33 agents already operating in the Manningham area, mainly Doncaster and Templestowe. Barry Plant’s first office would be number 34.

In 1987 Barry and Karen bought the Manningham office at 250 Blackburn Rd. The office was purchased at foundation stage and was fitted out by Barry’s own company Birchbank Homes. This is where Manningham’s now state of the art office is located, providing easy access to buyers and sellers.

In the following years Barry Plant Real Estate flourished in the eastern and south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The Barry Plant name is synonymous with Real Estate in the Melbourne Metropolitan area, with over 30 years of real estate experience in the city of Manningham.

Barry Plant Manningham gives a helping hand to Doncare at their new store in Bulleen

Doncare, Manningham’s major welfare provider has opened its 6th op shop at Bulleen Plaza recently.

Barry Plant Manningham Co-Directors James Hatzolos and Spiro Drossos along with their entire team were present to show their support at Doncare’s grand opening on March 6th 2012.

Company mascot BP Bear was also present to celebrate the grand opening, delighting both young and old.

Directors of Barry Plant Manningham were honoured to be invited to the grand opening by CEO of Doncare, Doreen Stoves, who thanked them for their continued support and the contribution they made towards refurbishment costs for their new store in Bulleen.

The assistance provided by Barry Plant Manningham has enabled Doncare to fit out their new store with book shelves and install plumbing for the new kitchen sink, an important feature allowing volunteers to make well deserved cups of tea or coffee.

Doncare’s new opportunity shop at Bulleen stocks clothes for men, women and Children as well as shoes, bric-a-brac, books, toys and other small items of furniture. Doncare is also looking for volunteers to assist in their new store. Interested parties can contact the organization, or drop into one of Doncare’s stores to pick up an application form.

Doncare Grand Opening of New Op Shop in Bulleen

Barry Plant Manningham is proud to sponsor Doncare’s grand opening of their new op shop in Bulleen Plaza, at shop 2A 101 Manningham Rd Bulleen.

Grand opening date: 6th March 2012 @ 10:00am

The shop will stock clothes for men, women and children, shoes for all occasions, bric-a-brac, books, toys, games, together will some small items of furniture.

Directors of Barry Plant Manningham will be present on the morning to launch the new shop alongside CEO of Doncare Doreen stoves.

Doncare is also keen for new volunteers to work in the store. If anyone if interested, or they have family or friends who may be interested, please give Doncare a call, or alternatively drop in to one of Doncare’s op shops and collect and an application form.
